About Zumbla classic

The shooter holds the next marble. When you tap where you want to aim on the screen, the marble flies that way and joins the chain. If three or more marbles of the same color end up side by side, they pop. To win a level you have to destroy every marble, but if the chain reaches the end of the path, you lose.

Most of your score comes from combos and chain reactions. When a group pops, the marbles on either side join up, and if they match in color, they pop too. Seeing that coming and shooting accordingly is the real skill. Special stones show up on the path too: the freeze stone halts the chain for a while, while the lightning and bomb stones clear many marbles in a single shot.

Why do kids love this game?

The chain creeping toward the end of the path builds excitement, and one good shot pushing the danger away feels like relief. With so many levels, it never seems to run out.

Is this game safe for kids?

The screen shows only colorful marbles and simple backgrounds. Shooting here just means placing a marble among the others, and playing works on color matching and aiming skills.

1. Start a level; the chain of marbles begins rolling along the path.
2. Look at the color of the marble waiting in the shooter.
3. Tap or click toward where marbles of the same color sit to shoot.
4. Pop groups by lining up three or more marbles of one color.
5. Make chain combos with the groups that join up after a pop.
6. Hit the freeze, lightning and bomb stones to use their effects.
7. Clear all the marbles before the chain reaches the end of the path.

• Protect the end: always put priority on the marbles closest to the end of the path.
• Set up the combo: popping a single marble between two groups of the same color is the shortest route to a chain reaction.
• Hit the freeze at the right time: using the freeze stone when the chain gets dangerously close gives you room to breathe.
• Throw the wrong color far away: sending a marble you do not need near the head of the chain keeps you from messing up the danger zone.
• Use the first seconds: the chain moves slowly at the start, so take that time to set up combos.
