About M5 Traffic Racer

First you pick a car and a mode, then you hit the highway. The cars ahead drive at different speeds, and you change lanes to slip between them. When you hit a car the run ends, and you earn money based on the distance you covered.

There's a constant trade-off between speed and risk. Nitro launches you ahead, but gaps close just as fast, and braking is safe but cuts your distance gains. With your earnings you can upgrade the engine and handling, paint the car any color you like, and unlock new cars.

Why do kids love this game?

Slipping between cars at the last second is thrilling, and every run gives you a goal of going a bit farther than the last. Painting the car your own color also turns the garage into a personal collection.

Is this game safe for kids?

Yes. Crashes work as a game rule that ends the run, and no injured characters or blood are shown. It's still a good idea to remind little ones that you shouldn't drive like this in real traffic.

1. Pick a car from the garage.
2. Press the Play button and choose a mode.
3. Press W or the up arrow to accelerate.
4. Change lanes with A and D or the left and right arrows.
5. Brake with S or the down arrow.
6. When the road is clear, fire the nitro with N and honk with L.
7. When the run ends, use your earnings to upgrade or repaint your car.

• Look two cars ahead: focusing on the gap beyond the car in front, not the car itself, helps you avoid sudden squeezes.
• Use nitro on straight stretches: firing it with an open lane ahead is much safer than using it in a crowd.
• Brake in short taps: a long brake also closes the gap behind you, so quick taps are enough.
• Handling first: spending your first money on steering response instead of speed makes lane changes easier.
• Try the outer lanes: sometimes the outermost lane is less crowded, but the escape route is narrower too.
