📖 Matchstick Puzzle About
Matchstick Puzzle is a brain game where you solve puzzles built from matchsticks. It starts with easy levels and runs up to 900 puzzles.
About Matchstick Puzzle
In each level, a shape or a sum made of matchsticks sits on the table. The task is short and clear: remove, add or move the stated number of sticks. For example, in a wrong equation like 5 + 7 = 2, taking the upright stick of the plus and adding it to the 5 turns the sum into the correct 9 - 7 = 2. In shape puzzles you try to end up with the requested number of squares or equilateral triangles.
The difficulty of the puzzles lies in seeing how numbers are written with matches. Adding one stick to a 6 makes it an 8, and taking one from a 9 can turn it into a 5. As you learn these changes, the solutions start to appear before your eyes. When you get stuck on a level, you can ask for a hint.
Why do kids like this game?
Moving one stick and watching an impossible-looking sum suddenly come out right feels like solving a magic trick. Since the solutions are short, finishing a level does not take long, which makes trying the next one easy.
Is this game safe for kids?
Yes. The screen only shows drawn matchsticks, digits and geometric shapes; nothing is ever lit. It trains addition, subtraction and shape sense, so it gives elementary school kids a useful play space outside of school.
🎯 How to Play
- Open a level and read the task, which says how many sticks to move.
- Look carefully at the sum or shape on the table.
- Tap or drag the matchstick you want to move.
- Drop the stick in its new place, or remove it from the table if needed.

💡 Tips & Tricks
- Learn the digit changes: 0, 6 and 9 can turn into one another by moving a single stick, and knowing this trio unlocks many puzzles.
- Look at the signs: turning a plus into a minus sometimes gets you to the answer in a single move.
- Think about shared edges: when squares share sides, you get more squares from fewer sticks.
- Try it on paper: on hard levels, drawing the digits on paper with seven strokes is easier than holding them in your head.
- Do not forget the result side: do not always focus on the left side; sometimes changing the number after the equals sign is the shortest way.
