📖 Numbers 19 About

Numbers 19 brings the old notebook game to your screen: there is a table full of numbers and you try to empty it by crossing out pairs. It plays free in the browser.

About Numbers 19

To cross out a pair, one of two conditions is enough: the numbers are the same (5 and 5) or they add up to 10 (3 and 7, 9 and 1). They also have to sit side by side or one above the other. Crossed-out numbers between them count as gaps, so even two faraway numbers can match. The last number of a row can also match the first number of the next row.

When no moves are left you press the Add button, and all numbers that are not crossed out are written again at the bottom of the table. This opens new pairs and also makes the table longer. You cannot lose, but you can get stuck, so which pair you cross out first makes the next round of adding easier or harder.

Why do kids love this game?

The rule is learned in a minute, and every crossed-out pair shows the table opening up a little more. Hunting for numbers that make 10 turns addition practice into a game without you noticing.

Is this game safe for kids?

Yes. The screen has digits and a plain table, with no time limit or loud effects. It suits families looking for a calm number game that makes you think.

🎯 How to Play

  1. Scan the numbers in the table.
  2. Find two neighboring numbers that are equal or add up to 10.
  3. Click or tap the first number.
  4. Then pick the second number to cross out the pair.
  5. If crossed-out numbers sit in between, skip over them and match the faraway numbers too.
  6. You can also match the number at the end of a row with the one at the start of the next row.
  7. When no pairs are left, press the Add button and keep going until the table is empty.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • Scan for equal pairs first: identical numbers like 4 and 4 jump out right away, so look for the sums of 10 afterward.
  • Delay Add: every addition makes the table longer, so make sure no pairs are really left before you press the button.
  • Do not forget vertical pairs: numbers stacked on top of each other match too, and most players only look along rows.
  • Open up gaps: crossing out one pair can make two faraway numbers neighbors, and sometimes a small deletion opens a big door.
  • Handle the 5s with care: a 5 only matches another 5, and leftover single 5s can clog the table.

⚡ Features

  • Classic notebook game: the pen-and-paper puzzle on your screen.
  • Two rules: equal numbers or a sum of 10.
  • Add button: the remaining numbers are written again below the table.
  • No losing: you play at your own pace and think it through.
  • Plain look: digits and a table, nothing more.
  • Mouse and touch: plays on a computer and on a phone.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, Numbers 19 is free to play. It asks for no installation or sign-up. When you open the page the number table loads and you can cross out your first pair right away. A current browser on a computer, tablet or phone is enough.
Numbers that are identical (4 and 4) or that add up to 10 (6 and 4, 8 and 2) can be matched. The two numbers must be neighbors horizontally or vertically, and crossed-out numbers between them count as gaps.
When the table has no pairs left to cross out, you press the Add button. All numbers that are not crossed out yet are written again at the very bottom of the table in the same order, which creates new neighbors and new pairs.
There is no direct losing, and you can think as long as you like. However, if the table gets very long, dead-end situations can appear. The goal is to empty the table with as few Add moves as possible, which makes the game worth replaying.
It suits ages 4 to 5 and up, but kids who can already add enjoy it most. Looking for pairs that make 10 is good mental math practice. There is no blood or anything disturbing at all.
