📖 TapKO About

TapKO turns boxing into a timing contest. Your fighter keeps punching by himself while you step in at the important moments of the match. It opens in your browser with no install.

The rhythm TapKO builds

Prompts on screen tell you what to do. When the attack prompt shows, you click the opponent. Hit the timing on a counter prompt and you turn an incoming hit around. Holding the left mouse button while the rival attacks gives you a block. Both health bars stay visible, so the result of every exchange is clear right away.

That means the game is not about clicking fast. Reading the opponent's wind-up, waiting for the right beat and skipping wasted moves is what decides the fight.

Upgrade your fighter with stars

Every clean punch earns stars, and stars go into four branches. Strength raises punch damage, Defence cuts the damage you take while blocking, Health lifts your maximum health and recovery, and Speed increases how often the automatic punches land. New opponents arrive as you progress, each with a different cue pattern.

Why kids enjoy it

The rules land in a single match and one mouse button covers everything. After a loss, going back to the upgrade screen and getting slightly stronger makes progress easy to see.

Is it safe?

Boxing is shown as a sports contest here. The characters look cartoonish and there is no blood or harsh imagery. Fine for ages 8 and up.

🎯 How to Play

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • Wait for the prompt: clicking without one deals no damage and breaks your rhythm.
  • Blocking needs Defence: a block reduces damage but never removes it completely.
  • Speed pays early: more automatic punches means stars pile up faster.
  • Take Health for long fights: stamina is the branch that widens your margin for error.
  • Study each rival: every new boxer winds up differently, so spend the first round watching.

Features

  • Automatic punching: your fighter swings on his own while you handle key moments.
  • Cue system: attack, counter and block windows appear on screen.
  • Four upgrade branches: Strength, Defence, Health and Speed.
  • Dual health bars: both fighters' condition stays in view.
  • Rising opponent difficulty: every new boxer brings a different rhythm.
