Gobble is a funny arcade game where you steer a cute monster that eats everything in its path. There is only one rule: eating people is forbidden, because the monster is allergic to them.

About Gobble

Every level has items, food and objects scattered around the map. You need to run the monster over them and gobble them all up. The level is complete when everything edible is gone. But people wander the same area, and if you bump into one, the level starts over.

The challenge comes from doing both at once. In the early levels the people are few and slow; later their numbers grow and they settle onto the paths between the food. While reaching for an item you have to track which way someone nearby is walking. There are 40 levels in total and each one has a different layout, so the same tactic does not work everywhere.

Why do kids love this game?

A monster allergic to people is a funny idea from the start. Swallowing the last bite on the map and clearing the level gives a small but clear feeling of victory.

Is this game safe for kids?

Yes. The monster is cartoon style and not scary; if you hit a person, the level just restarts and nobody gets hurt. The game has no chat or other players.

1. When the level opens, look over the objects and people on the map.
2. On a computer, steer the monster with the arrow keys or W A S D.
3. You can also steer with the mouse if you like.
4. On a phone, touch the screen, hold and slide your finger.
5. Run over the objects to eat them.
6. Take care not to touch the walking people; if you do, the level restarts.
7. Eat everything on the map to finish the level and move to the next one.

• Watch first: before you move, follow for a few seconds which paths the people walk back and forth on.
• Work from the outside in: collecting the objects at the edge of the map first gives you rhythm before the crowd enters the middle.
• Go behind them: it is much safer to move along the path someone just left than to cross in front of a walker.
• Do not forget the last bite: if the level will not end, look for a small piece left in a corner or behind objects.
• Pick your control: the keyboard can be easier on sharp turns, and the mouse on long straight paths.
