You fire a line of balls from the bottom of the screen. By holding your finger or mouse and dragging, you set the aiming line, and when you let go the balls fly in that direction. The number on each brick shows how many hits it takes to break; it drops by one on every hit, and the brick disappears when it reaches zero.

After every shot the bricks move down one row. A brick that reaches the bottom ends the game, so choosing which block to melt first matters. The most efficient shots happen when the balls bounce off the walls and between the bricks and hit many blocks at once, so finding angles that use the side wall instead of aiming straight multiplies your score.
