About Fish rain

You cast the line into the water and watch the float. When it sinks, you need to pull at the right time and bring the fish to the shore; with big fish, if you do not use the landing net, the fish can get away. You can sell the fish you catch or release it back into the water. With the money you earn you buy new bait and gear.

The game has over 200 fish species. You start with small freshwater fish and work your way up to pike, catfish and carp, and finally to giants like sturgeon. Each fish likes different bait: worms, larvae, even cucumber. The time of day can change too; some species show up more in the morning, others at night. Working out which bait to try at which time and place is the real puzzle of the game.

You never know which fish will come on the next cast, and every new species is added to your collection. The pace is calm and does not rush you.

Is this game safe for kids?

The game itself is calm and has no violence. However, it has a live chat section with other players, so it is a good idea for kids to keep the chat off or use it next to a grown-up.

1. Pick a fishing spot and bait.
2. Cast to your last spot by tapping the screen or pressing ↑.
3. Watch the float, and when it starts to sink, pull with ↓ or by tapping.
4. Use the landing net with Space while bringing the fish to shore.
5. Sell the caught fish with → or release it with ←.
6. Sell the fish in the net with Enter and collect task rewards.
7. Use your earnings to unlock new bait, rods and places.

• Change the bait: if nothing bites for a long time, do not stick to the same spot, try different bait.
• Watch the time: some species only come at certain times, so be sure to try evening and night too.
• Do not forget the net: heavy fish can slip away at the last second if you do not land them with the net near the shore.
• Release the small ones: letting low-value fish go instead of selling them makes room in the net for big catches.
• Read the tasks: aiming for the species on the task list earns money faster than fishing at random.
