Forest Clans sends you into the forest with a basket. You pick mushrooms hidden under the bushes, cook meals from them and grow your own village. Free in your browser.

About Forest Clans

There are different areas around the village, and each grows a different kind of mushroom. At first two areas, Path and Edge, are open; tap an area and click the bushes there, and mushrooms pop out from underneath. With what you collect you cook recipes and upgrade the house and farm in your village.

Your picking attempts are limited, so choosing where to go matters. When your house reaches level 3, the school opens, and by studying areas there you earn more attempts. The In hike! button in the bottom left takes you to a random player's forest, where a successful pick earns you horseshoes. You can also join clans, help other players and compete in tournaments.

Why do kids love this game?

Not knowing which mushroom will come out from under which bush feels like a little treasure hunt. Watching the village slowly fill up gives every session a new goal.

Is this game safe for kids?

Content-wise, yes: it is all nature, cooking and village building. However, the game has clans and a chat section, so writing to other players is possible. For younger kids, it is a good idea for an adult to keep an eye on the chat.

1. Tap one of the open areas around the village.
2. Click the bushes in the area to pick the mushrooms under them.
3. Cook meals with the mushrooms you collected.
4. Upgrade your house and farm with what you earn.
5. When the house hits level 3, open the school and study areas to increase your picking attempts.
6. Use the In hike! button at the bottom left to visit another player's forest and earn horseshoes.
7. If you like, join a clan and help other players.

• Prioritize the school: more picking attempts speed up everything, so get the house to level 3 early.
• Tour the areas: each area grows a different mushroom, so choose the area that fits the one your recipe needs.
• Focus on hikes: in other forests mushrooms only appear in areas open for picking, so head for those.
• Check recipes: before cooking, see which mushroom is missing and avoid needless picking.
• Read the help section: the help page in the settings answers most questions.
