๐ Getting Over It About
A pot, a hammer and a strange mountain going straight up. Getting Over It is a physics climbing game played entirely with the mouse. It opens safely in your browser with nothing to install.
What kind of game is Getting Over It?
There is no jump button and no running. Every bit of movement comes from the hammer head. You rotate the mouse slowly to rest the hammer on a ledge, then use your arm as a lever to push yourself upward. Get it right and you gain a few metres; rush it and you can slide a long way back.
The climb has no levels and no checkpoints. Metal ramps, toppled furniture, tree stumps and rocks floating in mid-air wait along the route. Each attempt plays out differently because repeating the exact same motion twice is nearly impossible.
Why players stick with it
It looks simple and turns out genuinely demanding. Clearing a section you struggled with for ages delivers a strong sense of progress. Sliding back costs you nothing but time, so you simply try again.
Is Getting Over It safe for kids?
Yes, the content stays completely calm. No opponents, no countdown, nothing unsettling on screen. All it asks for is patience and steady mouse control, so players who frustrate quickly enjoy it more in short sessions.

- Find an anchor: Touch the hammer head against a rock or ledge to create a contact point.
- Push yourself up: Sweep the mouse in a wide arc the other way so your body lifts.

๐ก Tips & Tricks
- Move slowly: Whipping the mouse around throws the hammer and costs you all control.
- Pick your anchor first: Decide where the hammer will land before you commit to the swing.
- Avoid flat walls: Smooth surfaces give no grip while notched edges hold far better.
- Lower the mouse sensitivity: Reducing it in your system settings makes fine movement easier.
- Take a break: Sliding down the same spot repeatedly is draining, coming back later helps.
โก Features
- One input: The mouse handles everything, so there are no key combinations to learn.
- Real physics: The hammer's weight and angle decide the outcome of every swing.
- Seamless map: One continuous climb with no level select screens.
- Charming character: The cat in a pot design keeps the tone light.
- Nothing to install: Runs smoothly in a desktop browser.
