How Planet Merge works

The next planet waits at the top of the screen. You aim with the mouse and let go, the planet falls into the bubble and gravity takes over. Two planets of the same size turn into one bigger celestial body on contact. There are ten steps in total, starting from a tiny space rock and climbing toward the Sun.

That is exactly where the challenge begins. Every merge frees up room, yet the bigger planets take far more space. Once the bubble boundary fills and a planet spills out, the run is over. So placement matters: a planet resting against the wall can set up a chain later, while one dropped in the middle may split the board in two. The smiling faces soften the mood, but planning chain merges is real strategy.

The rule fits in one sentence and a first run lasts about a minute. Right after that comes the urge to push the score a little higher. The order of planet sizes even teaches a bit of space knowledge along the way.
