About River Drift

At the start the river is wide and the current is gentle. A few hundred metres in, rocks cluster together, logs block the channel and the banks close in. The boat moves forward on its own, so your only job is sliding left or right at the right moment.

Speed rises along with distance, which turns the game into a question of rhythm: you have to move by anticipating an obstacle rather than reacting once you see it. The river bends differently every run, so memorising the layout gets you nowhere.

At the end of each attempt your distance appears on screen. That simple scoring makes it a great fit for short breaks. Losing a run puts you back in within seconds, and more often than not you go again to push your record a few metres further.

Why kids like it

There are only two directions to learn. Even younger players understand the goal on the first try, and the rest is practice.
